Excellent care from benefits department in the middle of cost of living crises!
I want to express my huge satisfaction for others to know after being redundant from my job of 6 years for reasons related to Covid our family life had been completely upside down, I contacted the council officers in the benefits department to ask for help and they have gone miles for us by explaining the whole procedure what we are entitled to and how they will also help us from the discretionary funding available for the cost of living crisis.
They also indicated that since I am on eligible benefits there will be additional Low-income Cost of Living payments which will be made twice in the year for £650. Aberdeenshire Support and Advice Team deserves an award for being kind, helpful and also supportive.
